KRS 202A.121(1) has been amended to read as follows:

"Upon the appearance of the person detained pursuant to KRS 202A.041 or upon the filing of a petition pursuant to KRS 202A.051 or 202A.0811, the court shall appoint an attorney to represent the respondent. The attorney shall be paid a fee fixed by the court not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), which shall be paid by the Finance and Administration Cabinet."

 

Interested attorneys may apply to be considered by the Jefferson District Court Term to be an appointed attorney on the 202A docket. DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR THE FIRST APPOINTMENTS IS JUNE 12, 2026.
