CRIMINAL COURT

Jefferson District Criminal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction and handles arraignments, felony probable cause hearings, misdemeanors, violations, violations of city and county ordinances, and juvenile public offenses.

Jefferson District Criminal Court is divided into five criminal divisions and cases are assigned by the last name of the defendants as follows:

Criminal Courtroom 301: A-CRO

​

Criminal Courtroom 302: CRP-HIC

​

Criminal Courtroom 303: HID-MIK

​

Criminal Courtroom 304: MIL-SHD

​

Criminal Courtroom 203: SHE-Z

​

Effective May 11, 2026, the Jefferson District Criminal Court schedule will be:

​

Monday-Friday: all five criminal courtrooms shall have a 9:00 a.m. felony/misdemeanor docket

​

Monday-Friday: four of the five criminal courtrooms shall have a 1:00 p.m. traffic docket as follows:
